In late 2021 CDM started work on the touring sharks exhibition for the Australian Museum.
The scope: 11 full size sharks models and various touchable models like oversized shark skin sections and teeth.
Large models like the 5m white shark and 8m whale shark, required engineering certification
To be able to hang in a public space.

Our approved digital shark sculptures were used to drive large format 3D printers and CNC machines producing parts that were then finished with traditional modelmaking techniques.
An additional requirement of the brief was all the sharks could pack down into metal touring stillages, that we designed to be flat packed to save space..
